Saya pun, tapi saya pasti saya sering menghadapinya. Contoh, saya tanya pelajar perkara paling mudah:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Awak dah makan ke belum?&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Macam mana saya nak makan Ustazah, tadi kena tahan dengan Cikgu Gana. Dia bla bla bla......&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perlu ke? Perlu? Jawapan yang saya harapkan hanya YA atau TIDAK. Itu sahaja. Mudah.com.my.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tetapi, sebaliknya yang saya terima. Dan mengapa respon pelajar itu sebegitu? Kerana ketika itu dia mengharapkan saya dapat menawarkan penyelesaian &amp;nbsp;untuk masalah emosi yang dihadapinya. Dia marah kerana ditahan Cikgu Gana. Penahanan itu menyebabkan dia tak dapat makan. Akibatnya dia terpaksa berlapar sehingga habis sesi persekolahan jam 1.50 petang (lebih malang kalau insiden itu jatuh pada hari Isnin atau Selasa, balik 2.30 petang, tak gila kelaparan dibuatnya?).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya sering bertelingkah dengan zauj saya, kebiasaannya saya membangkitkan kecemburuan saya terhadap kawan-kawan beliau (kerana beliau lebih kerap berada di luar berbanding menghadap dan memanjakan saya 24/7). (Ahahahahahah..... yup, I'm quiet an attention seeker when I'm around him. I love to be pamper by him. I'm just plain.... love him).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dan soalan &lt;i&gt;close-ended&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;yang saya ajukan kepada beliau ialah:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Abang cakap, kenapa Abang lebihkan kawan-kawan Abang berbanding saya? Cakap! &lt;/i&gt;(sila baca dengan penuh dramatik dan air mata).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dan seperti senario di atas, bukan jawpan ya atau tidak yang saya terima.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Sayang, jenazah Ayg sudah pasti Abg yang akan angkat, tetapi jenazah Abg.... Bukan Ayg yang akan angkat.&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya terkedu, dalam sendu tangis yang masih bersisa. That point never reached my brilliant mind before. Walaubagaimanapun, projek master saya, masih belum selesai lagi!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ketika entry ini ditulis, saya sepatutnya membaca jurnal dan mengekstrak bahan daripadanya untuk dimuatkan dalam laporan projek saya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Apakan daya, saya lebih cenderung meng-explore wajah baru Blogspot berbanding belajar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;ahahahahahahah......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Semalam ke Perpustakaan Za'aba, UM dengan Kak Mie. Banyak jurnal dan tesis di situ. Dalam satu-satu masa, hanya satu bahan yang boleh dibelek dan dipegang. Macam masuk bilik top secret weh! :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bahan yang kami cari ada dalam cd. Sejam lebih kami menghadap pc sebab cd tu tidak boleh dibawa keluar dari pejabat kat dalam perpustakaan tu. Terasa seperti mendapatkan rahsia besar kerajaan :) Kami berhasil mendapatkan apa yang kami mahu, cuma mcam kureng la kannnn kena duduk depan tu padahal mudah lg kalu dapat donload je ;p&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Alangkah indahnya jika bahan itu diupload dan boleh dicapai terus dari internet!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tak salahkan kalau dapatan persidangan pendidikan itu dikongsi bersama?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Macam nak give-up, sampai Kak Mie pun kata, dapat D pun jadilah ;P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tak kot. Moderator Dr Aini Hassan (oh dia sangat friendly berbanding masa belajar dengan dia time ijazah first dulu- agaknya lepas bersara stress dah kurang). Sebelum terlupa, berikut dirumuskan serba ringkas dapatan hari ini:&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Oh sebelum itu, terima kasih kepada Cil Linda yang telah me-alert- kan saya tentang bengkel ini (di FB la kan).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;penulisan akademik adalah untuk mengemukakan hujah dan pandangan- langsung tidak berbentuk peribadi&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;kita takde autoriti nak kemukakan idea2 sendiri- sebab itu merujuk kepada published authors adalah PENTING&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Stail menulis untuk Pendidikan biasanya APA, namun kekadang ada gak tercampur dengan stail Chicago (slightly different), jaga-jaga ya.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Satil APA pentingkan surname&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bahagian rujukan untuk susunan yang cantik, dalam Word: Paragraph--&gt; Special--&gt; Hanging --- wallaweiyh ;)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;rujukan dalam teks ada 2 macam; a) integral (bersepadu)- nama penulis disebut dalam teks----&gt; Kagan (1990). b) non-integral (tidak bersepadu)- nama penulis hanya disebut dalam kurungan/ catatan nombor ----&gt; (Carter, 1990). Yang (b) seolah-olah tidak mengakui penulis itu, sebaliknya yang (a) kita menekankan pendapat penulis itu.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;JANGAN campurkan kedua-dua jenis rujukan dalam satu ayat dengan merujuk kepada 2 rujukan yang berlainan. Contoh----&gt; Menurut Carter (1990), nndhf hgetf xgdfrf xsgdt (Kagan, 1990).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sumber ke-2 (as cited by ...... in .......): di bahagian rujukan hanya tulis rujukan pertama, ke-2 tidak perlu&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Parafrasa bukan sekadar menukar perkataan sahaja, sebaliknya struktur ayat juga perlu diubah&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bab 1 dalam 10 mukasurat pun sudah cukup&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Ayat0ayat permulaan untuk menulis pernyataan masalah seeloknya mempunyai &lt;i&gt;narrative hook &lt;/i&gt;yang boleh &lt;i&gt;grab attention&lt;/i&gt; pembaca, seperti dimulakan dengan statistik atau qoute orang2 ternama, janganlah terlalu teknikal sangat.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Tajuk yang baik jangan lebih dari 12 patah perkataan &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;permasalahan mesti negatif (kalau semua ok, bukanlah masalah kannnn)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Permasalah kajian  (macam tengok hutan dari helikopter) adalah rumusan soroton kajian (macam tengok hutan semasa berada di dalam hutan- cerita SEMUA) yang berhelai-helai kepada beberapa perenggan sahaja&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;bila buat bacaan aktif, kena pegang highlighter (heheheheheh....)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Banyak lagi info yang best, memang rasa refresh bila dengar semula benda-benda ni.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I'm back people, I'm back. Saya kagum, layout mereka sangat hebat, banyak widget dan gambar yang di touch-up (bukan upload gitu-gitu aja dari kamera).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Isi kandungan? kebanyakan tentang aktiviti seharian, aktiviti sekolah, bf gf, kawan-kawan dan musuh-musuh mereka. Kisah kehidupan harian mereka. Kisah bagaimana mereka menangani gejolak rasa jiwa kacau seorang remaja.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya cemburu. dahulu, zaman saya sebaya mereka, saya tidak ada blog (zaman tu masih web 1.0, pc pun takde lagi). Kesannya, saya jadi remaja yang sangat rebellious, degil, susah nak gembira dengan life sendiri sebab banyak sangat perassan ayang di-bottle-up-kan. Saya masih ingat, dulu buku conteng saya adalah penuh dengan catatan-catatan rasa marah, tak puas hati, suka dan sebagainya. Saya masih ingat saya bergaduh dengan kawan-kawan baik selepas mereka membaca tulisan saya (padahal dalam diari sendiri tu) tentang rasa tidak puas hati saya terhadap mereka (oh so lame sengal neh waktu tu!). Itu dulu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya belajar banyak perkara tentang mereka. Kami di sekolah selalu anggap mereka tidak mampu dari segi kewangan untuk beli itu dan ini, untuk guna gajet-gajet terbaru di pasaran. Sebenarnya, mereka punya kehidupan agak mewah (mewah kerana saya bandingkan gaya hidup saya 11 tahun lalu- yang tak tahu nak berjalan-jalan shopping makan-makan di pasaraya besar dan ternama di negara kita) (wah apakah ayat ku?).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mereka menonton wayang barangkali hampir setiap minggu, makan di restoran-restoran yang mahal (saya pun hanya pergi bila hari gaji) dan berhujung minggu di kompleks membeli-belah standard (sunway pyramid, the curve dan one utama adalah terkeluar dari tempat-tempat untuk dating ya- untuk mengelakkan pertemuan yang awkward :p).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh, life sangat happening bagi mereka (tapi bagi saya macam pening je tengok).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yang pada mulanya sangat-saya-tidak-sangka ialah keberanian mereka post gambar-gambar yang agak seksi dan daring (kebanyakan yang berani begitu pelajar cina, Alhamdulillah pelajar Melayu tak buat macam tu, kalau tak, tak tau apa saya patut buat)- gambar kissing gaya pelakon hollywood, pose gaya model cerita America's next top model dan sebagainya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*sigh yang sangat panjang*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jelas, mereka tidak sedar (atau mungkin tidak tahu) betapa ada pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab boleh melakukan sesuatu yang tidak baik ke atas apa yang mereka tuliskan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jelas, mereka tidak tahu tentang digital citizenship.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jelas, mereka pandai menggunakan kemudahan web 2.0 yang ada- pastinya bukan belajar dari sekolah kerana di sekolah tidak ada matapelajaran blogging. Mereka belajar dari kawan-kawan mereka, pun baru belajar sudah sangat pandai mempelbagaikan blog mereka. Mereka memang sangat digital natives!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Banyak perkara yang boleh dikaji saya rasa, dari blog mereka ini. Tak perlu dah kita pening-pening buat modul untuk menggalakkan mereka ini berblog, mereka dah buat dulu dah. Cuma kita hanya perlu fahami apa yang mereka blog kan, kenapa, mengapa, bagaimana....  oh oh oh!!! Sangat banyak research questions kawan-kawan!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dan, ya, saya tidak bercadang mahu menjadi 'ustazah' setiap kali saya melawati blog mereka. Tapi sangat tidak puas hati dengan assignment Prof yang telah dihantar :(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am 100% pisitively sure that I can do much much better!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As I always said to myself, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;if better is possible, good is not enough.&lt;/span&gt; *sigh*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kesalahan pertama:&lt;br /&gt;Lambat bertindak setelah tajuk proposal pertama ditolak.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kesalahan kedua:&lt;br /&gt;Tak jumpa Dr Chin, selaku supervisor yang bagos sebenarnya :P&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kesalahan ketiga:&lt;br /&gt;Tak banyak membaca artikel yang berkaitan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kesalahan keempat:&lt;br /&gt;Tak berusaha sehabis daya, beralasan kononnya sibuk dengan hal sekolah. Padahal, takde pon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maka, perlu extra usaha untuk sem depan. APA?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#FF0000;"&gt;strategi penyelesaian&lt;/span&gt;: boleh tak kita minta pelajar &lt;b&gt;bincang&lt;/b&gt; masalah tu dengan lebih lanjut? (so apa &lt;b&gt;teori &lt;/b&gt;yang menyatakan &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;perbincangan&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"&gt; dapat membantu pelajar to gather much more information? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;3. &lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#FF0000;"&gt;TEORI&lt;/span&gt;. teori apa yang boleh membantu/ menyokong hipotesis kita tu. teori apa yang boleh membantu kita menyelesaikan masalah tu? teori apa yang boleh membantu kita menjalankan kajaian tu ----&gt; sebagai guideline mungkin.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;4. &lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="color:#FF0000;"&gt;lesson plan. Antara lain maksud hadis: Mulakanlah pagimu sebagai orang yang &lt;b&gt;mengajar&lt;/b&gt; ilmu, &lt;b&gt;belajar&lt;/b&gt; ilmu, &lt;b&gt;pendengar&lt;/b&gt; ilmu atau &lt;b&gt;pencinta &lt;/b&gt;ilmu, jangan jadi golongan yang ke-5, nescaya kamu celaka.. au kama qal.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Petang lepas sekolah buru-buru ke Library UM, nak siapkan research matrix. Alhamdulillah akhirnya dapat juga idea nak buat apa, terima kasih kepada Kak Zamiah Abdullah (sila perhatikan nama penuh), orang yang membantu saya memulakan pencarian saya dengan mencadangkan tajuk yang lebih sesuai (saya tukar colaborative learning kepada CTL). Terima kasih kak :)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Dalam sejuk-sejuk duduk kat Karel 27, berjaya refine RO1 dan RQ1. To deliver this topic, we choose an article entitle A Constructivist Model for Thinking About Learning Online by Karen Swan from Research Centre for Educational Technology, Kent State University. Personally, I felt relieved to be able to deliver such topic with all my best and this was one of our best presentations in fully English (referring to good review from our fellow classmates- thank you very much).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;What are the key learning points from the whole activity?&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;First of all, we should aware that constructivism is a theory of learning, not of instruction. However, constructivist theory can inform pedagogy and instruction. Therefore, the base of this theory or practice is students do most of the work; especially the thinking part. Teacher’s role is as the facilitator and the one who needs to create and prepare learning environment. Constructivism also promotes social interaction in education ecology- students with students, students with teachers, students with technology and students with community. Students construct their own knowledge from their experience and interactions with others. The knowledge construction happens again and again through their entire life because they are making sense of what they already knew with new information they gain. Best belief that this will help them to store information meaningfully and later can retrieve it easily, as they can connect each of the information usefully. Plus, they can use their knowledge to solve difficult and more complex problems. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Important to teachers to trust their students and let them explore the possibilities with constant guidance. Teachers also are recommended to remediate students’ understanding to make sure everybody are on the same page, and to make sure students learn what they intend to learn. In my opinion, constructivism suite the online learning or web-based learning environment because it give the freedom for students to click and click for more information, to socialize with worldwide learning community and independently construct their own knowledge. WebQuest is one of the best-practice ways to deliver constructivism instruction. The general overview of WebQuest must consist of introduction, task, process, evaluation, conclusion and credits. This guide will help teachers to innovatively create learning platform that suite their students ability, and intrinsically guide their students.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;How can I apply it in my own teaching and learning?&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Frankly after reading the article and surf the related website, I was convinced that nowadays students can do much more than what we teachers expect. They are more advance in using latest technologies and we as teachers should not underestimate their capabilities. Also, technologies will help teachers to enhance teaching and learning process as long as the teachers are equip enough with require knowledge of technology and master the content. I would like to start applying constructivist theory by giving my students spaces for own knowledge searching and less the spoon feeding of information. I am considering using WebQuest to deliver certain topics. I also would like to encourage my students to keep on learning, not just to pass the examinations.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Are there opportunities for further research?&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes there are. First, to find out whether WebQuest is suitable to be use in our education system (most people said we are very exam-oriented, WebQuest is just too much of time to spend with). Second, to find out is WebQuest suitable for underperforming students. Thirdly, what subjects or topics that suite enough to deliver by using WebQuest. Tergendala di balai polis, menyelesaikan report kerana BHW saya dilanggar dari belakang ;(&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Masuk-masuk, pembentangan tentang tugasan lalu oleh salah seorang pelajar PhD. Saya masih tak dapat tangkap topik perbincangan, jadi saya skip refleksi untuk itu.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Bahagian ke-2, TPCK. Betul, dah download bahan bacaan yang prof letak, tapi belum sempat baca. Balik rumah terus capai sebab rasa tercabar yang pelajar undergrad pfro siap leh reflek pasal TPCK, yang kita ni baca pun dak lagi ;P&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge: bila dah baca baru faham: untuk research, yang perlu diambil kira samada technology part, pedagogi atau konten. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Apa-apa pun, teknologi hanyalah alat untuk membangunkan T&amp;amp;L / P&amp;amp;P yang lebih berkesan dan lebih up to date. Perlu apa up to date dalam P&amp;amp;P? silibus kurang lebih sama dengan zaman kita sekolah rendah. Cara mengajar lebih kurang sama macam kita dulu sekolah (tak dinafikan, dalam kepesatan perkembangan ICT di negara kita, kebanyakan dari kita masih gemar kaedah talk and chalk: the most common way to deliver information). Maka, pengetahuan tentang teknologi membantu guru menggunakan bahan bantu mengajar yang lebih, sistem sokongan yang lebih mantap (untuk menyalurkan feedback yang perlu) dan jaringan komunikasi sosial yang lebih menyeluruh.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Pedagogi melalui pemahaman saya masih dikuasai domain utama seperti cara behavioris, konstruktivis dan kognitivis (dan lain-lain)- teknik mengajar yang boleh digunakan masih lagi sama seperti lecture, discussion, drill ant practice, mastery learning dan yang baru seperti PBL. Maka apa pentingnya pedagogi ini seolah-olah di-revise semula sesuai dengan kemudahan teknologi terkini? Jawapannya, walaupum method of information delivery seperti seakan sama, namun cara pemikiran pelajar sekarang tidak lagi sama. Kita mungkin menghafal (dulu-dulu) dengan mengulang perkataan/ ayat banyak kali. Pelajar sekarang hany cuma perllu menggunakan ipod atau handphone mereka.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Konten/ isi kandungan. Ada baiknya perkara-perkara abstrak diterangkan kepada pelajar dengan bantun teknologi seperti simulasi dan educational games. Sangat teliti dan kritikal. Sangat banyak perkataan dan disokong dapatan yang bukan calang-calang. Saya punya? Mengkritik secara umum sahaja (tapi kertas projek yang saya pilih adalah ok!).&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Ini yang dikatakan teguran membina, bukan saja-saja menghentam hasil kerja orang lain. Saya tidak sekritikal itu kerana saya berasa ‘senang’ dengan kertas projek yang saya pilih. Mengkritik tanpa mengenali pengkaji mungkin lebih mudah kerana tiada sentimen kasihan (?).&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Perasaan ‘senang’ itu mungkin kerana semasa sesi kelas yang lalu, penilaian terhadap Tugasan 3 seorang kawan itu sangat memeningkan. Dari tajuknya sahaja sudah menimbulkan persoalan. Bila diteliti bersama Ros dan Maryam, ternyata ada beberapa kepincangan dalam hasil tugasan itu.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Semasa membelek kertas projek yang saya pilih untuk dikritik itu, saya dapati ianya mudah difahami dan sesuai dengan perkembangan dunia pendidikan semasa. Dengan bacaan lanjut, ternyata ia tidak mengecewakan.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Apa yang pasti, menghasilkan kertas projek untuk semester akhir bukan mudah. Pembacaan perlu banyak dan merangkumi banyak aspek berkaitan. Kurang maklumat/bahan bacaan akan terkesan pada hasil kerja nanti.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Semangat berkongsi juga adalah penting. Kadang-kadang bila meng-google di internet, kita tak jumpa apa yang kita mahu, namun apalah salahnya save maklumat itu dan kongsi dengan yang lain, ada juga gunanya.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Seperti pembentangan oleh Ros, barulah saya tahu ada program yang boleh digunakan untuk menganalisis data berbentuk kualitatif. Saya mahu juga mencuba kajian jenis ini tetapi saya rasa saya tak punya The 6 Sense (bak kata Dr Loh) untuk menganalisis perbualan yang direkodkan.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Oh tajuk!!! Saya masih belum punya tajuk. Hari yang kena hadiri kelas Dr Tee, saya terperangkap dalam kesesakan lalulintas selama 1 jam ½. Gila!&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Seperti kelas-kelas awal yang biasa, hari ini kami berkenalan sesame sendiri dan dengan kursus yang bakal dijalani. Dah tau dah berapa banyak assignment sem ini. Alhamdulillah, tidaklah seteruk dan sebangayk kelas Dr Tee sem lepas.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Minggu ke-2 pula, pagi hari yang ada kelas Dr Tee, saya mengalami kemalalangan jalan raya berskala kecil (oh saya yang melanggar&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;bumper kereta Nissan itu. Oh kereta buatan Malaysia adalah sangat AMPUH!). yuran pun dah setel, hati girang masuk kelas.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Tajuk hari ini tentang History of Internet. Rupa-rupanya internet ni asalnya untuk kepentingan ketenteraan, kemudian proses globalisasi membuatkan internet berkembang untuk tujuan ekonomi.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Perkembangan internet terutamnya dalam bidang pendidikan banyak bergantung kepada kemahiran pakar komputer/ pakar internet, bukannya profesor pendidikan atau guru matapelajaran. Cuma apabila teknologi itu mahu digunakan di sekolah atau university, maka di sinilah keperluan kepada pakar pendidikan itu dikehendaki.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Maka, kerana itu, pada pendapat saya, tidak hairanlah jika banyak guru yang menyatakan kegagalan mereka untuk mengintegrasi internet dalam P&amp;amp;P mereka (oh saya juga menghadapi masalah yang sama).&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Pernah diceritakan, kalau seorang guru pengsan di dalam kelasnya, bangun semula 10 tahun kemudian, dia boleh terus mengajar kelasnya ketika itu.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Tetapi jika seorang doktor yang pengsan di tengah-tengah pembedahan, bangun semula 10 tahun kemudian, nescaya dia pengsan semula keran terlalu kagum dengan teknologi perubatan yang baru.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Ya, arena pendidikan masih cuba menyesuaikan diri dengan teknologi pendidikan yang semakin berkembang. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Yang pasti, jangan biarkan teknologi menghantui anda. Saya dan Maryam presented our project as second group, after Kak Wan and Kak Mie.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tak tahu kenapa tapi saya agak dumbfounded, kedu dan hilang kata-kata masa nak mula pembentangan. Kenapa? Saya pun tak pasti.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Syukur dapat bentang dengan baik dan rasanya berjaya jawab semua soalan dengan meyakinkan. Satu soalan yang agak menggugat ialah bagaimana nak promote laman ni kepada remaja, since ia dibina untuk semua remaja perempuan Muslim di luar sana. Ya, frankly, tak terfikir pun, memandangkan projek ni untuk tujuan designing short course for DE class, bukan betul-betul nak dipasarkan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya masih lemah at the planning part. Planning memerlukan sebab musabab sesuatu perkara itu kita lakukan sebegitu, base on robust facts and emphirical studies. Saya sedar banyak keputusan yang saya ambil berdasarkan pengalaman dan emosi, sesuatu keadaan yang perlu dipertimbangkan dengan lebih mendalam pada hari mendatang.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sebenarnya agak teruja menonton projek Lim. Gambar-gambar kek dan makanan yang berwarna-warni di saat perut berdendang lagu keroncong, adalah godaan yang sangat hebat (strawberi salut coklat- yum yum yum).  Cuma sedikit sayang saya rasa, lamannya seperti tiada the important, critical part; learning moments (pinjam ayat Dr Tee). I was clueless, sincerely, mostly at the part of e-poster, never heard of it before. Considering that this project can be done in team of 2 to 3 persons, again, uneasy feeling arise. Well, I usually work in team with 3 other members, which there are four of us. After asking Dr Tee permission to work in 4, again, tension arises as the expected target result is getting higher. Therefore, to not jeopardizes our own future in this project, we decided to split to 2 group; me and Maryam while Kak Zamiah with Kak Wan Maswati.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            The question with whom I will start this project resolved. Now we need to think about the interesting topic. I and Maryam decide to work with something interesting, easy to find material and within our expertise and limitation. For weeks we stuck, couldn’t find the topic we want. I started to observe everything around me, and finally it popped into my head; to overcome the problem regarding wearing hijab (tudung) among female students. My students wear hijab properly during lesson session in the morning but wear none during extracurricular session in the afternoon. I asked them why they did that and their answer really worrying me, so I took advantage by doing this topic to help them understand better why they have to wear hijab. So, I texted Maryam immediately and she agreed.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            We started brainstorming the lesson objectives first, as it will guide us to do what after what. We sketched our idea on a paper, and then showed it to Dr Tee for approval. While writing the draft, we were very eager to put everything in our prototype. Everything was there, from the layout to the content. A bit haywire I guess, but after getting the feedback from Dr Tee and classmates, we tried to sort it out accordingly. We agreed to make it simple but informative.&lt;br /&gt;I acted as the subject matter expert, and Maryam focused on the technological part. Lucky for us, both are teaching Islamic Education and facing the same problem. It helps us to write the objectives clearly and we know exactly want we want the content to be. I started surfing the internet for reliable sources and Maryam did the same thing, to get general idea of how our prototype will look like. I visited several distance education websites such as Harvard Business School, U21 Global, Wilmington University Sample Online Course and University of London, and somewhat I came with a conclusion that it is better to use LMS (Learning Management System) or CMS (Content Management System) to conduct an online course. When designing an online course, it is not the layout that important (graphics, font and colour and etc) but the way instructor synchronising the content, the assessment and the interaction between participants are the most crucial factors to consider. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We agreed to use Bergman and Moore the product model to help us producing this project. Why we use this model? We already familiar to it as we just finished our redesigning courseware project for multimedia class. We choose to work with PowerPoint because it was the easiest medium to use, considering the time constraint. As for launching the prototype to the internet, we tried Webs.Com but later we figure out that it is difficult for us to present the content like we want. Maryam wanted to explore the features offered there but cannot afford to do so, again, the time constraint. Alternatively, she print screen our original website and paste it to PowerPoint. That was our foremost strength, to work creatively with obstacles. So she started to produce our prototype by using background from the website. Sharing the same problem with other groups, Kak Wan suggested us to just save as the PowerPoint as web page (she suggested to us and demonstrate the steps on Chun’s prototype, during the first e-poster session). &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, how far have we gone? We have the topic (Fesyen Bertudung), we listed out the learning objectives, we selected the target audience (secondary school Muslim teenage girls), the ID Model (Bergman and Moore) to guide us step by step, the medium for prototype (PowerPoint) and the medium to host our product on the website (PowerPoint save as web page).  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How are we going to present the content? What type of assessment should we do? What type of activities should we include? How many information is enough for our new distance learner? How are we going to interact with our students? The questions keep coming in my head. To design a resourceful and reliable distance learning course is not an easy job; even the topic we choose was not complicated. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since I surfed the internet, it was approximately 6,770,00 sites on bertudung only! I was cluttered with massive source of information; unsure what is the best and suitable for my audience. I asked Maryam for her opinion and she said that we should stick to the verse from Al-Quran Surah An-Nur verse 31. We worked the content from that verse, start the lesson by introducing the students to that verse. Later we designed activities which require them to understand the needs of that verse then extend it to everyday surrounding and finally wrap it up with activities that need judgemental respond.  We tried to present the content as light as possible to attract and motivate our potential participants to go through the course and hopefully, success it with flying colour. We want them to understand the obligation of covering aurat with clear understanding, not just do it for the sake of school’s rules. We wish with this simple course to see the change of behaviour and mindset. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for the content, I always seek for advices from my senior colleague, to make sure we construct the right lesson. As for the technical and technological part, Maryam did the most jobs. To get better understanding about e-poster, I surf the internet and found examples of it. What I found a bit different from what Dr Tee had told us but I get the general idea. While Maryam focused on our prototype, I started the e-poster. Again we worked hand in hand to make sure what I justify in e-poster are the same with what she compiled in prototype. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I and Maryam tried to communicate constantly via emels, sms and phone calling. We meet three times to speed up our work. The continuous coaching from Dr Tee really helps us to move forward (well, learn from the best I would say) while classmates’ opinions help us to solve several problems (learn with the best) (learning is social). The technological and technical part was our limitation. We imagined a very fancy website but we come out with something common.&lt;br /&gt;As I stated earlier, a long journey starts with a single step. Thus, this project is my first step to understand what is all about distance education (learning in context). The process is not just putting everything in a website but we have to consider everything that we already discussed during presentation and discussion session (learning is reflective). This project helps me to make sense for everything I gain during this semester (learning is active). Without proper planning this project won’t complete. Sebelum ini lebih kepada memperjelas narsisis diri sendiri, penuh emosi dan drama; kurang intelek dan ilmiah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;What are 2 or 3 most meaningful things you have learned in this class?&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;Sebagai pelajar, feedback daripada guru adalah sangat penting. Mengetahui untuk setiap tugasan yang dihasilkan sememangnya diambil peduli oleh guru, membuatkan pelajar lebih bermotivasi untuk menghasilkan kerja yang bagus dan berkualiti. Tambahan pula sebagai &lt;em&gt;DE learners&lt;/em&gt;, instructor feedback is very crucial to maintain the motivation, to feel belong to a group and not isolated.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Reflection helps to cultivate active learning. You never realized that you already learn something untill you try to recall it, relate it to your daily life, prior experiences and recent activities you encounter.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;It's no harm to lend your ears to others. Hear what they have to say, respond it with better understanding and share your thougths in good manner. Tiada masalah untuk memberikan pendapat yang bernas, kritikan membina. Keinginan untuk menjaga hati dan tidak mahu kawan-kawan terasa jika kita membetulkan kesalahan mereka hanya akan menjatuhkan mereka di hari kemudian (oh ini masih lagi berkaitan dengan edit-mengedit di wiki, sesuatu yang seharusnya kita lakukan dengan profesional).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Teknologi berkembang terlalu pantas. Satu-satunya cara untuk tidak ketinggalan adalah dengan sentiasa berkongsi maklumat dengan kawan-kawan. Always talk to the lecturer, ask for his/her opinion and always share the knowledge with others.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;I have better understanding on how to implement Taxsonomy Bloom in my lesson plan. I do need to care more about my students need to ensure the learning process benefits them, more than benefits me.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;From the planning part; now I realize what aspects should I concern when developing a course or a lesson. The reflection helps me to indicate the weaknesses and strength of my works.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;I learnt a lot, and I'm proud of myself of taking this tough course (hope to finish it with flying colours). Platformnnya tetap sama. iaitu menggunakan kuasa internet untuk mengaplikasi pendidikan jarak jauh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Gementar bukan saja pada pembentang, pemerhati juga rasa kecut perut dan bimbang. Setiap komen, pendapat dan cadangan dilihat dari sudut positif, dinilai semula bagi memperkemas persembahan terakhir projek besar ini.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya membuat rumusan sendiri; seperti yang telah dijelaskan oleh Dr Tee dalam kelas yang lalu, setiap dari kita punya PLT masing-masing. Terasa malu sendiri sebab pencapaian dan sumbangan dalam wiki rasanya tak setanding dengan apa yang Dr gariskan sebagai objektif. Saya melihat itu sebagai mudah, tak sangka pula ada agenda yang lebih besar disebaliknya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Untuk menghabiskan 2 jam baki kelas pada hari itu, amatlah saya memerah otak (mungkin dah rasa down selepas mendengar kesimpulan Dr pada bahagian awal kelas). Saya dah surrender dah bila kelas tamat. Saya rasa saya tak dapat semua yang Dr cuba sampaikan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sabtu saya berjumpa dengan Maryam, untuk menyelesaikan projek kami. Maryam tanya apa yang disampaikan pada kelas lepas, dan saya seperti menghela nafas, menarik nota saya perlahan-lahan, dan bermula....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;PTL- personal learning theory&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;setiap 16 orang ahli kursus ini ada teori pembelajaran masing-masing, yang menyebabkan wiki pertama tu tak berapa berjaya. Wiki ke-2 yang dimulakan dengan video (ia sebagai common point untuk semua orang) yang lebih terarah dan terbimbing nampaknya lebih baik dalam menugmpulkan idea kami.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Active learning&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;active learning bukan bermaksud aktif secara fizikal. Active learning berlaku apabila pelajar dapat membuat kaitan / connection dengan apa yang mereka tahu / telah belajar / prior knowledge sebelum ini. Ohhh selama ini pemahaman saya salah. Saya beranggapan active learning berlaku apabila pelajar secara aktif terlibat dengan aktiviti yang dianjurkan guru. Serius!! Entah bagaimana saya boleh tak perasan kesalahan pemahaman saya itu ;(&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;cognitive check&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;one minute session ynag boleh membantu guru make sure pelajar dapat apa yang mereka intend to dapat. Saya suka juga buat cognitive check dalam kelas, tanya pelajar out of sudden soalan-soalan berkaitan dengan apa yang dibincangkan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;CARS learning principles by Driscoll&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;in CONTEXT- pembelajaran berlaku dalam keadaan sebenar&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;is ACTIVE- making connection to prior knowledge (bukan aktif terkinja-kinja dalam kelas ye kawan-kawan)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;is REFLECTIVE- think back what have u done, evaluate it, critic your own works, how to improve it, what is good, what is not&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;is SOCIAL- learn from everyone around u- teachers, peers, folks, authorities people etc&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p&gt;hmmmm kira banyak juga la yang saya dapat malam tu. A very simple question which consist numerous answers from different angle and view. People learn by nature and also by nurture. We transfer knowledge day by day, and try to make sense of it. I would say that from the life itself, people do learn, formal or informal. Whether by attending schools or join the religious preach or take the night class or enrol a short course. From infants, we learn by observing others, we learn by doing things. Back to my school days, technologies were zero, null. I learned traditionally, in face to face environment where teachers were EVERYTHING, the centre of attraction, the source of information. I learned mostly by rote learning, drill and practice. Never in my mind that one day people can learn from a distance. Never in my mind that one day students actually have the power to their knowledge and teachers only act as instructor. Obviously, the changes and the enhancements of learning and teaching occurs base on how people learn. We learn how to learn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;What was the quality of my contribution to the wiki?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Frankly, I would say that I can do better and contribute more if I manage to spend more time on it. The first wiki, for me, required too much effort because basically we have to start from scratch. At first I thought that it is only me who cannot understand clearly the instruction given. Therefore, I merely share my thoughts and findings. After the Q&amp;amp;A session with Dr Tee, it surprised every one of us that even the English teacher cannot really understand his instruction. Then Dr Tee came out with new version of wiki, which provided more scaffolding and structured. Here where I started to actively contributing to this wiki, involving the discussion and jotting down my observation. The step by step activities help me to focus on my readings and searching.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;How could I improve the quality of the content?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As an individual, I should urge myself to read more robust article, to ask myself more deeply questions, and to be dare enough to take charge when things go slow without progress. I do look up to Mee Lee Chun, because for me her thinking is very analytical. Again, my most problems were the time needed to do above list, as I competing priorities of home, work and school. As a team member, I do agree with Kak Hana’s suggestion that this project should be done by smaller group. Sure, two heads are better than one but sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth. When working in large group, I tend to think that others will start first, others will shape this wiki, and others will take action. I tend to wait and see. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What did I learn from this activity?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Surprisingly, I learn the nature of distance education (as the learner).  I feel the alienation, isolation, the frustration and insecurities about learning. The lack of direct feedback and contact with the instructor during the construction of the first wiki, make me feel lost. I learn to learn to master and own the knowledge, and not to depend on the instructor (even me myself are trying to change my mindset from teacher-centred to student-centred way of learning). It is not easy to communicate with other members without meeting face to face, to chunk one big topic accordingly. Therefore, I cannot miss a thing, I must read all the entry posted. Unfortunately, the feedback was nothing to answer how people learn. I regretted that I did not take the opportunity to be the first one to post an entry related to the sub-topic outlined. I learn that I did not play my part as I should. I'm just sooooo into technology!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;But things which makes me dissapointed, the real situation in our school (or maybe in MY school only):&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;do not ask about the technology, the PC that supplied by the government is not enough to cater students of a classroom. How can we implement the use of technology if in the F2F synchonous environment pun, we are not able to do so (because of the lack of tools)?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;internet. We do know that internet, the world wide web, offers us numerous resources to be used in our classroom. The question is, how many of teachers know the existance of wikis, blogs, Facebook, MySpace, web 2.0 and etc.? Even one time I asked my colleague her emel address, she don't have any! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;We want to use the technology, but do we aware of it existance?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Pada pendapat saya, di negara kita pendedahan (baru pendedahan, belum penggunaan!) masih lagi baru dan terhad. Kita masih jauh ketinggalan dari segala jenis teknologi yang telah ada laman maya. Di sekolah saya sendiri, penggunaan PowerPoint dalam p&amp;amp;p sudah dianggap sangat hebat dan lain dari yang lain. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Saya tak dapat membuat spekulasi akan teknologi akan datang. Saya masih lagi teraba-raba hendak menggunakan teknologi yang ada sekarang ;( Saya rasa banyak yang perlu dilakukan oleh pelbagai pihak untuk memungkinkan teknologi benar-benar berada di hujung jari, bukan sekadar retorik kosong yang sedap didengar tetapi tidak terlaksanakan.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Maaf, saya sedikit emosi menulis entry ini kerana saya merasa sedikit tertekan dengan tekanan dan halangan yang ada di sekolah. Kadang-kadang beban tugas yang entah apa-apa mengurangkan masa guru untuk explore dan menggunakan teknologi yang ada. Buktinya, LCD yang terpasang di setiap kelas di sekolah saya (contoh), berhabuk tidak digunakan. The thought of not completing this reflection for last 2 weeks presentation, makes my stomach ache and I can't just sit and watch tv.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Therefore, to amuse myself, I'll try (mengarutly?) applying AEIOU approach to evaluate AF (&lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akademi_Fantasia"&gt;Akademi Fantasia&lt;/a&gt;, Malaysian's very own La 'Academia/American Idol).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000099;"&gt;ACCOUNTABILITY&lt;/span&gt;- to determine effectiveness and objectives completion, measuring by data taken from project administrative records and documentation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I do not have legal access to get AF's administrative records and &lt;a href="http://www.astro.com.my/akademifantasia/inforancangan.asp"&gt;documentation&lt;/a&gt;, but we all can confidently assume that the foremost objective of this program is to &lt;em&gt;mencungkil bakat baru dalam bidang nyanyian. &lt;/em&gt;Season by season, this programme successfully produce many new, talented singer (Mawi, Zahid and Mila, for example). So I guess, this programme do have accountability.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333399;"&gt;EFFECTIVENESS&lt;/span&gt;- to determine value on project's activities and determine quality, measuring by grades, achievement tests, attitude inventories, surveys and juornal. Focus on participant attitude and knowledge.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Well, the quality of this programme is very questionable. Yes. they manage to &lt;em&gt;mencungkil bakat baru &lt;/em&gt;but how far those winners of every season can go in music industry? Yes the participant gain more knowledge on how to sing better, they transform from &lt;em&gt;kampung boy&lt;/em&gt;  to nationwide hearthrob, their grades are base on how many percent they get on the final concert. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333399;"&gt;IMPACT&lt;/span&gt;- identifying the changes resulted from the project, measuring by longitudinal data studies, qualitative measures.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Such a tsunami impact, Malaysian become very keen to be a singer. Last season, 650 contestants tried their luck and attended the audition. This season, the number increase to 1000 contestants (stated in &lt;a href="http://www1.mstar.com.my/cerita.asp?file=/2009/1/19/mstar_hiburan/20090119102747&amp;amp;sec=mstar_hiburan"&gt;mStar&lt;/a&gt;). This programme get the highest rating, beating out other Astro programme. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333399;"&gt;ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT&lt;/span&gt;- determine barriers, measuring by the intimately involved evaluator.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hmmmm.... I think the government approved this kind of programme. It less the burden and tension of nowadays stress of work. Some parents encourage their children to participate; so they can become famous and wealthy. I cannot think of anything that hindered this programme.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="color:#333399;"&gt;UNANTICIPATED CONSEQUENCES&lt;/span&gt;- to identify unexpected changes either a positive or negative nature, as direct or indirect result of the project.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Generally, the Malaysian become unprofesional jury of singing :) freely criticizing or voting their favourite contestant. They become the die hard fan for their favourable singer/ contestant. They will give them 150% support after the final concert. They even have their own &lt;a href="http://sultanmuzaffar.net/?p=781"&gt;opinion&lt;/a&gt; upon this programme. This help the telco provider to gain more income via sms, the magazines production to gain more profit by printing their stories, the souvenier manufacture become richer by producing products using their names, face or anything that can sell.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I know that AF is nothing to do with distance education, but i think somehow this reality show can be evaluate using AEIOU approach. Now Dr Tee is talking English J. Still minimal guidance but the questions help me to get into it. The videos are very helping to trigger the mood of active learning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What helps u learn?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Essential materials in the new wiki help me learn. The guided activities channel my thinking to exact objectives, so that I know what am I suppose to do. I’m not an alien anymore (that’s what I feel).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What gets in the way of your learning?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The time needed to wait the buffering, while time waits for no man. Program evaluation&lt;br /&gt;2.    Improvement&lt;br /&gt;3.    To group the students (we pick students to enrol them in a program, universities etc)&lt;br /&gt;4.    Justifications for funding priorities&lt;br /&gt;5.    Reporting reports&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How do we assess students in DE?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The presenter brought up about cheating. The nervous, the anxious feeling, mixed beyond words to describe. Now I present my reflection on what have we done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What did you learn from this activity?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;·         First and foremost, I learnt that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Yeah, this time of presentation I really get that. It’s not me and Mar didn’t plan well but I really thought that we can plan better.&lt;br /&gt;·         If we choose the right video clips, it really can trigger the learning process. When I played the video clips, I was relieved to see the reactions. Hehehe... I purposely choose the one with many cartoons on it, since previous presentation everyone (including me) really enjoyed the video clips.&lt;br /&gt;·         Copyright in Malaysia is not taken seriously like in western countries. After surfing the internet, I couldn’t found any related article about DE and copyright act in Malaysia. Copyright in Malaysia mostly related to music industry; to prevent piracy.&lt;br /&gt;·         DE management is tedious, surely. Again, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.&lt;br /&gt;·         In F2F environment, instructor get the feedback immediately, it helps to change the strategy if needed. But in DE, things are delay, time consuming, and you just cannot change the way you construct abruptly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What instructional strategies worked?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;·         We used lecture mode to deliver our presentation. To assist our presentation, we prepared our eye-catching (that comment really make us smile) PowerPoint slides. Plus the bilingual language (which sounds crazy sometimes) we think it was really worked J&lt;br /&gt;·         Thanks to YouTube, we started the presentation with video clips full of cartoons. Yes, the clip was bit jumpy but it helps to get the audiences’ attention.&lt;br /&gt;·         The impromptu questions that I asked I thought help the audience to ask deeper, create ‘what if’ situation. So I guess that can replace the activity that we missed (boleh gitu Dr Tee?).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What didn’t work? Why?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;·         Decent comment from Kak Hana, the writing activity was not suitable (I can’t remember her exact words). Yeah, I have to agree. It doesn’t went like I plan actually.&lt;br /&gt;What would you have done differently?&lt;br /&gt;·         I should photocopy the worksheet before presentation (to make sure it be useful), rather than wrote it on whiteboard.&lt;br /&gt;·         I should use the prepared slide one by one, to help my audience understand better (we done it very quickly because in our head we have to do the presentation within 1 hour- for 2 big topics, it is surely not enough). Also, to help my lecture according to plan.&lt;br /&gt;·         I should plan our presentation more thoroughly, spending some time to ask Dr Tee’s guidance and spending more time to sit and discuss more with Maryam.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Would you implement similar instructional strategies if this was in a DE setting?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;·         Using the video- yes I would. It helps to prepare the students with basic understanding and break the ice.&lt;br /&gt;·         Lecture- yes I would but will try to make it less, so that the learning will be more student-centred more than teacher-centred.&lt;br /&gt;·         Writing activities_ yes I would, using blogs and wikis (of cause!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I frankly would like to thanks my dear partner, Maryam for her contribution and her braveness to deliver our presentation in English (good job dear, u make us proud!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To class members, thank you for your modest comments, we really appreciated it. Persembahan Pat dengan Bee Hua padat dengan maklumat, ditambah pula dengan kuliah Dr Tee, saya rasa sedikit kognitif overload :p&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;DE dulu bermula dengan surat-menyurat, melalui tv, radio dan kini semakin maju dengan internet. Saya rasa saya faham mengapa Pat dan Bee Hua agak terlebih penyampaian pada malam tu, kerana internet menawarkan baaaaaanyak maklumat. Keghairahan untuk membincangkan perkara yang dekat dengan kita membuatkan mereka sukar menapis maklumat yang ingin dikongsi bersama (mungkin!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kemudahan-kemudahan atas talian yang banyak ditawarkan kini, sememangnya memudahkan proses DE berlaku. Cuma, pengguna perlulah bijak untuk memilih maklumat yang tepat dan bersesuaian dengan kegunaan mereka. Seperkara lagi, penggunaan bahan-bahan di internet perlulah tidak menyalahi peraturan hak cipta dan harta intelek. Kegiatan-kegiatan plagiarisma perlu dielakkan. Kebiasaannya pelajar-pelajar lebih gemar merujuk kepada maklumat dari internet untuk menyelesaikan tugasan mereka (saya pun salah seorang dari mereka). Maka pelajar perlu tahu had-had yang dibenarkan untuk &lt;em&gt;copy and paste&lt;/em&gt;. pelajar juga perlu tahu menggunakan &lt;em&gt;citation.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Presenters ada menyebut tentang CMS, dan Moodle adalah contoh paling mudah. Melalui pemahaman saya, CMS lebih kepada bagaimana kita nak mengurus sesuatu kursus pembelajaran tu. Siapa gurunya, bagaimana nak hubungi beliau, apa isi kandungan p&amp;amp;p nya, bila kelas akan diadakan, cara penilaiannya bagaimana.... itu CMS. LMS pula lebih menitik beratkan hal pelajar. mereka faham ke tak isi pengajaran, berapa skor mereka dapat, apa latihan yang boleh diberikan, bagaimana latihan boleh disediakan dan macam-macam lagi. Kalau saya rumuskan dalam CMS ada LMS, setuju? Tetapi dalam LMS belum tentu ada CMS, boleh begitu?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;WEb 2.0, jika digunakan dengan betul, sangat membantu dalam proses DE. Blog ni salah satu daripada kemudahan yang ditawarkan. selain blog, wiki juga kemudahan web 2.0 (banyak lagi, saya tak ingat). Agak menghairankan, dalam keadaan sekarang pun sebenarnya masih ada orang yang fobia dengan komputer dan internet ni. Nak guna Facebook pun tak berani.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya rasa, sebagai pendidik kita perlu berani untuk &lt;em&gt;explore&lt;/em&gt; tools yang ditawarkan di internet. Saya rasa refleksi saya tidak cukup kuat untuk memenuhi tuntutan kursus ini :(&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ini hasil pencarian saya, &lt;a href="http://www.westga.edu/~distance/ojdla/spring51/halsne51.html"&gt;kertas kerja &lt;/a&gt;yang agak menarik.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yang ini pula &lt;a href="https://dvc.hfcc.net/itcnews/000192.htm"&gt;dapatan&lt;/a&gt; seorang pengamal DE.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Walaupun setiap aspek yang dikaji adalah berbeza, apa yang dapat saya rumuskan ialah sememangnya penyediaan kelas DE menuntut masa dan usaha yang lebih (di peringkat awal tentunya). Walaupun pembentang pertama Kak Hana dan Kak Iza sampai tak lalu makan, tak lena tidur (mungkin), yang lain pun turut merasa debarnya. Mereka seperti peletak benchmark; ke arah mana persembahan untuk kelas ini perlu dibawakan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya rasa bertuah kerana berjaya membaca Chapter 6 sebelum menyertai kelas. Perbincangan yang dibawa oleh kedua-dua presenter mengukuhkan lagi pemahaman saya. Tidaklah rasa tertinggal sangat dengan perbincangan yang diadakan. Dan, ya! PoerPoint mereka sangat cantik dan menarik :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ada beberapa ciri persamaan antara peserta/pelajar DE. Antaranya, mereka ini self-starters, tinggi motivasi diri, bekerja, punya komitmen lain seperti keluarga dan memang suka belajar. Cuma sedikit perbezaan pada ciri DE Learner sekarang dengan DE Learner dulu, DE learner sekarang perlu ada duit, sedangkang dulu orang yang menyertai DE ni punya seumber kewangan yang terhad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perbincangan dari hati ke hati berkaitan dengan projek Wiki yang terbengkalai juga turut mengurangkan sedikit beban yang mula dirasakan semester ini. Oh, rupa-rupanya perasaan terbeban, tidak tahu arah tuju dan tiada panduan itu rupanya perasaan biasa untuk seorang peserta DE. Heheheheh.... Dr Tee started today's class with that question, and we all were like crazy to answer it, with all our best (and now i understand how to roleplay).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The point is where to start and how to start. Being clueless (even in the 3rd semester) is not exceptional anymore. We have to move people! Read! Disscuss! Research!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And how distance education help? As i see, to construct distance education we have to plan properly, hope for the best and ready for the worse. We discuss (more on listening to Dr Tee's explanation and lots of oh! ha!) the ADDIE model, the 1st model i learnt from Prof Maznah on her ID Model class. fewhhh, eventhough it is like doing revision, have prior knowledge about it, but still i manage to understand well about ADDIE this time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;and the peribahasa which is sesuai untuk model ADDIE ini ialah: berakit-rekit ke hulu, berenang-renang kemudian, bersakit-sakit dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The ongoing process of evaluation, on the way of designing useable, informational and helpfil DE: secretly show us that DE is serious business, and again, need proper planning. And foremost, teachind and learning are serious business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The important thing also, as i realized, how to satisfied our main stakeholders: the learners. Since DE lack of emotional interaction, those needs also have to be cater.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And how to apply it in DE? Proper planning, i conclude. Frankly, dapat baca 2 bab sahaja, dengan segala susah payah dan usaha (masuk bakul angkat sendiri ni).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saya kagum la, saya baca perkara yang SAMA dengan Dr Tee tapi saya tak dapat buat ringkasan macam yang Dr buat. Wah, rasa tercabar! Rasa seperti tidak bermakna pembacaan saya. Still, saya mampu join perbincangan hari ni.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh ya, Dr ingat nama saya :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Banyak nak kena baca semester ni.
